Public Consultation: Morston House

The proposals that are displayed by this online public exhibition will be available to view from the 19th March to the 28th March.

They show that vacant Morston House is proposed to be converted into student accommodation to be known as the ‘Residence’. The Residence will include 194 cluster bedrooms and studios, with concierge, communal rooms, gym and laundry. The works will also include a 3 storey upward extension, a new feature entrance positioned onto The Midway and a new landscaping scheme.

The plans are displayed on behalf of WUKPG, an experienced property developer, who is intending to apply for planning permission for the change of use and extension of Morston House to student living accommodation. The plans are displayed for residents and local businesses to comment on ahead of a planning application being submitted. After the consultation has ended Paul Butler Associates will be submitting a planning application on behalf of WUKPG.

A face to face public consultation event was not considered appropriate because of the recent ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
