The scheme was justified on the basis that it would enable the sensitive conversion of the buildings, which included a pair of Victorian Villas and a Coach House, thereby ensuring a positive impact on The Downs Conservation Area. Other key considerations included the density of the scheme and the need to achieve car parking and amenity standards.
In addition to acting as planning agent, the Practice prepared a Planning Statement and a Heritage Statement in support of the application which was approved at Planning Committee in July 2015.
