A Heritage Statement was prepared by Paul Butler Associates Ltd in support of a proposal by Stephenson Studio for a new home on the site of a former gardeners dwelling. The main purpose of the Heritage Statement was to provide information to assist Stratford-on-Avon District Council to make judgements regarding the application. The statement considered the heritage impact the scheme may have on the historic environment including upon an existing building known as Oversley Castle (a non designated heritage asset) and upon nearby listed buildings forming part of a historic former farmstead including upon three listed farm buildings including Tudor Barn; the Stables and the Byre.
