The scheme was justified on the basis that it would be subservient to Lawnhurst, a local heritage asset; would respect the character and appearance of the Didsbury St James Conservation Area; and, would not impact on the amenity of neighbouring residents.
The Practice acted as planning agent and prepared a Planning and Heritage Statement as part of the application submission. Following approval of the application in July 2013, Paul Butler Associates Ltd successfully oversaw the discharge of planning conditions relating to the scheme.
