On behalf of Provincial Land Limited, redevelopment proposals for the site of the Former George Public House were presented at a public consultation event held at The Plaza, Stockport on Thursday 3rd August 2023. Over 80 local residents and businesses were invited to the event.
For those who were unable to attend the event, the proposals are also being displayed via this online exhibition from the 4th August 2023 to the 21st August 2023.
The proposals involve the demolition of the existing building and redevelopment of the site with a residential-led mixed use scheme. The proposals include commercial / co-working space at basement and ground floor, with apartments on the upper levels. The proposed scheme has been sensitively designed to ensure that there is minimal impact on neighbouring properties whilst respecting the local character and context.
The public consultation can be viewed by downloading the brochure via the link below and an online questionnaire can also be completed should you wish to provide feedback.
The plans are developed by Ollier Smuthwaite Architects on behalf of Provincial Land Limited, an established development company with projects undertaken throughout the UK.
After the consultation has ended, all comments will be taken into consideration which will enable progression of the scheme into its final design stage. Paul Butler Associates will then be submitting a planning application to Stockport Council.
The link below presents a brochure which will illustrate the proposals for the site.
