The scheme will comprise two buildings of 12 and 4 storeys in height, set around a new public square. The scheme was designed to reinforce the historic street pattern and reference Manchester’s historic mill and warehouse buildings in a contemporary manner, whilst also providing a high quality development on a key gateway site into Manchester City Centre.
Paul Butler Associates Ltd acted as planning agent for the scheme, progressing it from inception stage through to determination. In addition to undertaking the necessary planning and heritage statements, the practice also coordinated public consultation, and undertook an archaeological desk based assessment.
The proposals were unanimously approved at Planning Committee in July 2015.
