Paul Butler Associates Ltd secured planning permission for the redevelopment of the site of the former Albert Vaults public house on Chapel Street for a mixed-use residential-led scheme. The scheme proposed the provision of an eight storey building, comprising 24 apartments above 48 sqm of commercial floorspace.
Paul Butler Associates Ltd provided planning and heritage consultancy services on the project which involved undertaking an initial feasibility study to inform the client's development strategy, pre-application consultation with Salford City
Council and local residents about the scheme. An assessment of the scheme's planning, heritage and regeneration benefits was provided within a Planning and Heritage Statement which formed part of the planning application. A Statement of Community Involvement was also produced.
The application was approved in December 2015.
