Paul Butler Associates Ltd were appointed to submit a planning application for the redevelopment of a small six space surface car park on Chapel Street in Salford for a residential-led development. The scheme comprises a six storey building with commercial use on the ground floor and apartments, designed to meet the demand for housing for young professionals working within the Regional Centre, provided on the upper floors.
A Planning and Heritage Statement was prepared as part of the planning application which considered amongst other things, the impact of the scheme on the Flat Iron Conservation Area, and the Grade II* listed Church of the Sacred Trinity. Planning permission was secured in April 2014 and the development was completed in September 2015.
